Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use binostudio.com or hire bino. web studio ("bino.", "I", "me"), a web design studio run by Somaya Malek in Virginia. Each project also gets a written quote or agreement. If that agreement says something different from these terms, the agreement wins.

1. Quotes and projects

Before any work begins, I'll send you a written quote that lists what's included, the price and the expected timeline. Work that isn't in the quote, such as extra pages or new features, is quoted separately before I start it.

2. Payment

• A 50% deposit reserves your spot and starts the project. The deposit is non-refundable once design work has begun.
• The remaining 50% is due before the website goes live.
• Payments are made through secure online invoices. I never ask for card details by email, text or phone.
• The optional care plan starts after launch and is billed automatically each month. You can cancel anytime by emailing hello@binostudio.com or through the billing link in your receipt. It stops at the end of the month you cancel, and there are no cancellation fees.

3. Your part

You're responsible for providing your content (text, photos, logo and business details) and for making sure you have the right to use it. Delays in receiving content or feedback can move the timeline. If a project is paused for more than 60 days because I'm waiting on you, I may close it and the deposit covers the work done so far.

4. Changes and revisions

Each package includes the number of revision rounds listed on the Services page. Extra rounds or big changes in direction can be added for an additional fee, which I'll always confirm with you first.

5. Ownership

Once your project is paid in full, you own your website's design and content. Your domain is always registered in your name. I may show your website in my portfolio and on social media unless you ask me not to.

6. Domains, hosting and other services

Domains, hosting and other third-party services are provided by those companies under their own terms. I'm not responsible for their outages, price changes or policies, but I'll help you sort out any problems.

7. Results

I build every website carefully and follow good practices for speed and search engines, but I can't guarantee specific results like search rankings, traffic or sales.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, my total responsibility for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount you paid me for that project.

9. Using this website

The content, drawings and design of binostudio.com belong to bino. Please don't copy them without permission.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
